About This Site

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I created this site to consolidate and centralize all the projects and activities I find interesting and challenging, and that I enjoy and want to share. Additionally, as I enter my eight decade in about a year's time , I have started to feel a sense of urgency to do and say as much as I can squeeze in. I would assume this is not an unusual thing for anyone approaching seventy.

One of my many interests is entropy, not just from a thermodynamics or information theory perspective, but from a human perspective. It pretty much determines everything about us. (read my homage poem to Entropy) yet few people appreciate its scope and magnitude. This site reflects my own appreciation that entropy will eventually make me disappear and that the only counter I have to the dying of the light is my instinct to create. Of course, all my creations will also eventually fall to the inexorable march of entropy unless others find value in them and decide to pass them on and on and on in a sort of tentative immortality. And, for good or ill, a tentative immortality is probably the best we can ever do.
